medical school?
i am foxy enough to get the grades to get into medical school if i put in the effort and i am interested in biology. it has been a dream to become a doctor but can you tell me if it is extremely hard at medical school or just challenging if you are ready to work hard and put in the effort.
Thank you
I've never heard anybody call that med school was easy and I've been to med school and in health care for 36 years. There are some that make it look easy, but that's because they have good study skills and the control to study for hours every day.
The volume of information that comes at you in med school far exceeds anything you have ever experienced. And you can't cram for exams--you have to retain this word for a life time. It's no joke that you need good study skills--and those aren't developed in a day.
Med school isn't fill-in-the-blank or true/mendacious. Usually, you're given four, very similar scenarios and you have to pick the best answer and they ALL may be correct, but you have to pick the best based on the way the dispute is asked. That not only requires you to retain information, but to actually understand it and apply it.
gd Question
What process would i go through from high school to finally getting into medical school?
If your one of the people who have answered my prior questions you'll know that i'm interesting in medicine. I would like to know what process i would go through from high school to medical school and then to finally becoming an intern. (I do persevere in scotland just in case the process is differant in other parts of the world).
You emergency to look at uni websites to find out what they are looking for academically. you also need some works experience and you need to do some volunteering.
How the hell does an american attend medical school in the uk?
I have been researching for the over and done with 2 weeks trying to find out the entrance requirements and what i need to do to get into a medical school. Well, apparently all of my american qualifications are completely useless as all the universities i checked into only up GCSE and A-levels. I don't even know what the hell those are or where I would take them in america. If anyone can please find a way to help me I would be very grateful.
Possibly the best website to start with is the Medical Schools Council of the UK. This link should take you to their resources page with a questions and answers segment. I am sure some of the answers you require can be found here and if you have your own questions just contact the Medical Schools Council and they will keep you right. Good fortune!
