Back-to-School Desk Supplies
The first week of espouse grade, I begged Ms. O to please, please, please let me write a book report. My No. 2 pencil was poised, extracted from the other scholarly outfit in my bright red pencil box. I was ready to take on the big-kid task of homework.
The charm of homework eventually wore off, but each year the glinting new school supplies re-kindled the hope that the year ahead held something more exciting than PB&J in brown bags and V. putting a kit on my chair when I went to the blackboard to miscalculate a math problem.
This lovely little set of desk supplies, with a fabric-covered notepad and coordinating binder clips, pens and a hairy-note holder, is a sweet way to send someone off to school or a new job. Shiny, new and hopeful.
Here is how to make it:
What You Need for the Fabric-Covered Notepad:

gel medium
scrapbooking eyelet setter

scissors
What You Need for the Sticky-Note Cover, Binder Clips and Pen:

What can I do to jazz up my brand new computer desk?
Reasonable bought a new computer desk and I was wondering if anyone had ideas on what I could do to jazz it up a bit. Personlize it a bit.
I was thinking of getting computer mod lights but I'm unsure where to get them from and what to look for. Seen them before, they hype stop up into the computers power supply but they are used externally.
Any other ideas?
when i require to personalize things i save up lots of bits and bobs like material and photos and just go subterfuge! or you could pick a theme and go off that. I once wanted an under the sea styled room so i collected lots of shells and old furniture which looked shipwrecked. Also you could use ribbons very randomly and crumb trinkets to fill up space...good luck x
Does it bug you - just a bit - when people order more stationary without checking the supply cupboard?
It's not a big administer really, but we must have at least 43 boxes of paper clips in a various sizes in the office stationary cupboard, and as far as I can line out, when someone runs out of their desk supply they just order more...
Frank P - ever heard the saying 'look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves' ;o)
Thanks Ern - it's commendable to know someone understands ;o)
It would bug me, no question about it.
How do cables under the desk get so tangled?
Right-mindedness. I've spent half an hour untangling cables just to find the power supply to my graphics tablet, and it's an utter disorganization down there. (I also found a mouse - not a live one, but it was probably close - and a telephone and about 4 metres of ethernet cable I didn't know I had.
It's still a turn upside down, but the graphics tablet is working...
Question is *how* does it get like that? It's not like I actively spend a portion of each day tangling things up for a poke fun at, or so that on a rainy Sunday I have something to do. I've already ruled out The Tangling Cable Goblin as my cat got him years ago.
(Noone mention cable ties please, I had an catastrophic incident with them, a stanley knife and electrocution once.
Oh, and happy Monday. :)
How small! Happy monday to you too. As for the cables its a hopeless cause. Did you not know that in the cable factory before they leave they have to make a reverential oath to the cable king to mess up all humans heads by tangling. If they fail their mission they will fray and die!!! Its steadfast !
