Public Law School Tuition Hikes
Because of civil funding cuts, endowment losses, and the desire to keep up with other top law schools, many public law schools are increasing tuition as much as 20% for the upcoming grammar year.
While most public law schools will still cost less than private, the difference between the price tags is getting smaller, which according to an article in the Chauvinistic Law Journal, "has led administrators and professors to worry about whether public institutions are fulfilling their mission of remaining affordable."
For more message on specific tuition increases and what it means for public law schools, see Karen Sloan's excellent piece, "At Public Law Schools, Preparation Jumps Sharply."

What are the pre-requisites for european law schools?
Hi,
I advised of that for North American law schools you need an under-grad degree first, but a friend told me that in Europe, you can get into law school straight out of Tipsy School? Is this true? If so, do you have to take an LSAT? Can the degree be used for law practice in N.A?
Thank you for your input!
In the UK you call for to have done your GCSE's; 5 A-C's. This is done when your 14-16yrs old (at the end of compulsory school). After which you complete 3 A-Levels, grades usually have to be BBB or BBC, these as usually intentional after your GCSE's so usually students are 16-18 yrs old. Should you attain the required grades that's when you go to Law School.
Where are some good law schools located in England? Preferably around the London area?

What do law schools look for in an application?
it is required to note 1500 words on:
• reasons for choosing law
• previous experience
• general attainments and other supporting comments
what if the perspicacity is really personal? if I am apply for CPE instead of a degree, would the institute be looking for different things?
thanks
What is definitely personal about why you want to be a lawyer? Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm trying to think about any reason that's so personal that I would omit it from an essay especially if I felt so passionate about it that I wouldn't tell them. Interesting.
But basically what you're looking to do is to persuade them to believe that you're not just entering law followers because you think it's a windfall or that you watched a few episodes of Matlock or Law & Order when you were a kid so "OMG I have to be an atty!"
On the flip side, you shortage your essay to stand out and you want it to be personal and belong to you. Any chance of you being chosen over someone with similar GPA, LSAT, ECs or work judgement is to write an essay that's different and passionate. Consider either including your reason or tapering it down in a way that makes you comfortable.
