Is it compulsory for school bus drivers to wear seat belts?
Mar 12, 2008 by biggles | Posted in Safety
Also if abode belts are fitted in a school bus MUST they be used?
How many School Bus accidents is it affluent to take to realize that seat belts should be mandetory on School Buses?
Whatever the cost and whatever it takes to ensure that the seat belts are on and decorously fastened on each Child should be the responsibily of anyone who drives a School Bus! If drivers don't want that responsibility they should not be driving a School Bus!
The Board of Education must arrogate policies, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that all passengers, including the driver, wear these belts or harnesses or both, whenever the bus is in gesticulation.
However, a school bus driver may not be held personally liable for the failure of passengers to wear safety belts as required by the Council's regulations.

My conference are considering doing this on a trial basis, do you think it is a good idea, would you be happy for your child to use it?
Sorry I should have said in the UK!
Righteous a bit of friendly advise from across the pond. On my commute to and from work I'll see one or two children getting off the bus which is fine but the bus then will travel one block or less to pinch of one or two more kids. I've looked to see if they might be special needs children which would be fine. My point is that organising pick-up drop-off zones with at least 1/2 a dozen kids reasonable seams logical and puts less wear and tear on brakes and fuel.I hope this is use full.
