Are there any military schools in the UK?
I'm a 14 year old popsy and i've always had this weird dream of going to militasry school? As weird as it sounds it's true! Do i have any hope? I live in London
There are several all over the power. However they are generally public schools and thus the are quite expensive. There are some which offer bursaries or scholarships to students if the had relatives in one of the services such as pop or grandfather.
However if it is the military training aspect of these schools that appeals to you then, these schools have CCFs (Combined Cadet Force Detachments) which are made up from the three services. I should alert you that they generally only train once a week for a couple of hours.
If this is the case you may be better off joining your local Army cadets which parade more frequently.
The MOD also has a sixth form which is excellent, it is called Welbeck and provided you get the grades you may apply. Additionally The Army has a foot college which you can apply to join at 15 Years and seven months and they will take you at 16. It is aclled AFC Harrogate and you are really in the Army then!
Good Luck and I hope you find what you are looking for.

This is a investigating question. Would being part of something provide pride and a feeling of belonging. Would a military school provide you with the grades you need at GCSE. Would you like sports and getting fit?
